Sunshine!

My heart is warm today, partly because of the sun, but mainly because of the love and blessings in my life...
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields [b] with fire.

10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Sailing

My heart is heavy, I'm starting to know why. I realize this is the first time in two years that I am not doing the Easter play for the Lord. I know I am where he wants me, but I feel like I'm not. I don't feel like I am doing his work, and I'm starting to feel a little antsy. I was made to glorify him, and I don't feel like I've been given much chance to do that lately, and I'm starting to get tired of waiting. I have had many adventures in my life so far, and I am so ready to take on the one God has around the corner, it just seems to me that I'm walking a very long road to get there (and it’s uphill). But I know God’s timing is perfect, it’s just hard to hold on to sometimes. I have felt him move in my life before, and I’ve seen the results. Carol from church says that sometimes God uses the low valleys in our lives to show us something, or teach us something we can understand later on. I’m in the wilderness at a crossroads right now, and instead of trusting in God I’m trying to figure out where the path starts (or ends). I place my life in your hands Lord, I trust you to direct my sails. Bring me your peace Father, and lead me by still waters, send me where you want me, take me where you need me, and always be my strength. Amen

Life Abundant

God is!

God is love! He speaks it to us everyday. “I AM.” A lot of us haven’t heard it. We need to have an open ear, open eyes, open faith, open desire, and most importantly an open heart. God want’s us to see him.

A lot of us try hiding from him, and He comes to us (if we’re willing to accept him) when we need Him most and shows us the light and leads us to him. God finds us as we are without him, and turns us around to show us who we were made to be, in Him.

God want’s us to seek him. Yet we sit around looking up to the sky “Okay God any day now.” He want’s our fullest yearning, He’s the God of the universe! God want’s us to want him, and he’s not going to favor the man who pities himself and expects God to show up and make everything perfect. We need to come to Him, and He will bless us when we do. He is the reason we’re breathing here today, he deserves our hearts yearning. We should honestly and sincerely ask God to show himself to us in faith and love...

Romans 8:38-39... And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NLT).

The Bible says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” matthew 7:7 ... This is a promise to all people of all nations of all the earth. God loves all of us, and desperately want’s us to know Him and love Him in return. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

As human beings we all want to hear the truth in every aspect of life. When we ask someone we love and trust a question, we’re going to respect a truthful answer. We want to hear the truth. Often we can determine what’s true and what’s false using logic and common sense. True is by definition: perfect, spotless, no contradictions. What a beautiful thing; no wonder we all strive for it.

Jesus Christ said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6... If we ask ourselves “In what way can I truthfully live a perfect life.” The answer is in Jesus.
